Flow to Yin Yoga

Flow to Yin is a fusion class featuring two distinct styles of yoga. Practice begins with Vinyasa (Flow), a series of fluid movements sychronized with breath . This method warms the body, releases excess energy and calms the nervous system as we transition into the Yin portion of class.

Yin yoga is a slow, floor based meditative practice that features long held passive poses, usually 2-7 minutes each. This practice targets the deeper connective tissue (joints, fascia) that are often not attainable through other forms of yoga. Yin Yoga improves flexibility, reduces stress / anxiety and brings balance to internal organs and improve the energy flow (qi) through the meridian pathways of our body.

This popular class is beginner friendly and is a perfect compliment to other styles of yoga or other athletic activities such as running or cycling. Many practitioners find Yin to be deeply meditative and calming with lasting effects.

It is ideal to bring extra layers to class as our body will cool during the Yin portion of practice. Longsleeves, thick socks, light stocking hat or a cozy blanket are some suggestions. Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a slow paced practice featuring a series of long pose holds (typically 3 - 7 minutes). Yin yoga is designed to slowly release tension from our connective tissue, such as joints and fascia. Long pose holds are required to achieve this release.

Due to this technique, Yin Yoga is quite meditative. Traditionally practiced in a softly lit, calm space, practitioners are challenged to quiet their minds and look inward. Yin yoga improves energy flow (chi) throughout the body. Regular Yin practice improves flexibility, circulation, balancing internal energy / pathways known as chi/meridians, creating a positive shift in your mental well being. Practitioners often report long lasting feelings of balance, calmness and better sleep after a Yin session.

Beginner friendly and approachable by most body types.

Please bring a mat, water bottle and small blanket to class.

Because of the long periods of stillness practiced, layers are recommended for comfort. Thick socks, cardigans, comfortable longsleeve layer.

Chair Yoga @ AMERY COMMUNITY CENTER

Chair Yoga is simply yoga with a chair!

We will use the chair as a prop to aid with balance if we stand behind it and it’s a sturdy safe place as we practice different poses from a seated position.

Anyone can practice Chair Yoga. It is especially suited for seniors and people with disabilities or other conditions where mat/ floor practice is not ideal. Modifications and variations will be offered throughout the class.

Excellent way to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination other benefits to yoga include stress, relief, and mood improvement.

$5 is suggested donation. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to sign in and secure your spot. Chair Yoga class is open to the public membership is encouraged. Please contact Amery Community Center with questions.

Yoga Flow

All level flow practice. Class includes time for grounding/meditation, yoga flows (movement with attention to breath) at a varied pace.
Attention to alignment and mind body connection. Standing poses, balance challenges, some power (strength/endurance) segments with flexibility and final relaxation segments. This class is 45-50 min in length.

Please bring:

yoga mat, water bottle and towel. ** we have extra mats, blocks and straps.

Part of a 6 week yoga series.

Style: Gentle to Flow

A new 40 minute Friday favorite starts here. Morning yoga begins soft and easy with grounding stretches and gentle movement. Slowly building a steady rhythm of movement and breath to leave you feeling clear, calm and recharged. Think cozy vibes, positive energy and that perfect post-yoga glow. Linger for a while to sip on a custom created coffee by Stone & Oak Co, or grab a warm drink to go - either way you'll head into the day with warm positive vibes.

Join YogaSol and ArtZ Gallery for a cozy evening of relaxation and creativity this holiday season. We’ll begin with 30 minutes of gentle, stress-relieving yoga in the Gallery set to soft seasonal tunes to help you unwind and reconnect before the holiday rush.

After yoga, enjoy an artful paper crafting session with local artist, Barb Tanner from ArtZ Gallery, where you’ll create a beautiful handmade 4x5.5” matchbook perfect for gift cards or small treasures.

Barb has warmly invited us all to sip on her favorite - Ethereal salted caramel cocoa and savor mini carrot spice cupcakes as you fold, design, and create among the beautiful artwork at the Gallery.
A perfect option if you were looking for an holiday activity with a friend. This is a private session closed to the public - Registration required with limited (10) spots available.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 28TH

Exhale is your soft landing at the end of the year – – a restorative yin and meditative morning designed to help you let go, settle your energy, and gently begin to close 2025. Our practice will take place in the heated third floor loft at Amery Ale Works - a cozy private space perfect for a winter practice.

Our morning will begin with a deeply restful restorative Yin practice, supported by long holds, grounding, breathwork, and moments of guided reflection. Participants will receive a special crafted aromatherapy roller ball created by Amery Ale Works very own Event Coordinator, Sam Brandt - to help enhance the deep rest, introspection and release as we symbolically exhale 2025.

After practice we will begin to gather for our included lunch - a comforting, hearty seasonal steakhouse chili with fixings. Our lunchtime also creates a relaxing space to connect, decompress and savor the final days of the year in community.

Please Bring:

  • Yoga Mat & two blocks (I have mats and blocks to use)
  • Water bottle
  • Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for yoga movement. Layers easily added or removed thick socks, cardigans etc ) during practice as body temps may fluctuate and tend to lower for the slow paced part of practice..
  • A lap blanket for the last portion of class.

*Yoga experience not required to attend - absolute beginners welcome.

Gentle Yoga and Visioning Workshop

with Special Co-Host and Vision Guide: Amy Brioch

INHALE is the perfect follow up to EXHALE – this is an uplifting ,hopeful workshop that welcomes you into the new year with clarity, creativity and an inspired heart. We will meet on the 3rd floor loft of Amery Ale Works - a toasty warm private space, perfect for a chilly winter day.

Our morning begins moving through a gentle yoga flow with restorative pauses, making space in the body and mind for inspiration. This workshop centers around INHALE 2026 – breathing in possibilities, visions and manifestations for the year ahead. This yoga style is slower paced and perfect for beginners (even 1st timers) and those looking to move slow and intentional.

After Yoga, our guest facilitator, Amy Broich will guide a mindful and uplifting vision board creation session. You will be supported in choosing images, words and intentions that speak to your dreams and direction for the new year.

The remainder of the session will be dedicated to time for community connection, conversation, optional sharing and celebrating the future goals and dreams we are calling in. Everyone is invited to share a generous group charcuterie board and treats as we bring our creations to life!

AMY BROICH:

Have you met Amy yet? She is a familiar face at various YogaSol classes and events! Amy and her husband moved to the area from Minnesota three years ago. She has a strong background in teaching. Amy was a classroom teacher for 29 years and an instructional coach with teachers as well. This seasoned Yogi became certified in Youth Yoga and mindfulness 16 years ago. For the last decade, she has been creating and guiding others to create vision boards. Amy shares that her passion for visioning has allowed her to actively shape her future by setting clear goals and focusing her energy on what matters. She states "I have lead a more fulfilling and aligned life – rather than passively accepting what comes my way."

Please Bring:


-A yoga Mat and two blocks (I have mats and blocks to use if needed).

-A water bottle

-Please wear comfortable clothing appropriate for yoga movement. Layers easily added, or removed such as thick socks and cardigans during practice. Also clothing comfortable for transitioning to our vision board creation stations.

-A lap blanket for comfort is also suggested

-please start collecting magazines, photos, posterboard, or other supplies to bring and/or are willing to share at the event! More info will be sent after final registration.
