
Vin / Yin is a fusion class featuring two distinct styles of yoga. Practice begins with Vinyasa (Vin), a series of fluid movements sychronized with breath . This method warms the body, releases excess energy and calms the nervous system as we transition into the Yin portion of class. Yin yoga is a slow, floor based meditative practice that features long held passive poses, usually 2-7 minutes each. This practice targets the deeper connective tissue (joints, fascia) that are often not attainable through other forms of yoga. Yin Yoga improves flexibility, reduces stress / anxiety and brings balance to internal organs and improve the energy flow (qi) through the meridian pathways of our body.
This popular class is beginner friendly and is a perfect compliment to other styles of yoga or other athletic activities such as running or cycling. Many practitioners find Yin to be deeply meditative and calming with lasting effects.
It is ideal to bring extra layers to class as our body will cool during the Yin portion of practice. Longsleeves, thick socks, light stocking hat or a cozy blanket are some suggestions. Yin yoga is a slow paced practice featuring a series of long pose holds (typically 3 - 7 minutes). Yin yoga is designed to slowly release tension from our connective tissue, such as joints and fascia. Long pose holds are required to achieve this release.
Due to this technique, Yin Yoga is quite meditative. Traditionally practiced in a softly lit, calm space, practitioners are challenged to quiet their minds and look inward. Yin yoga improves energy flow (chi) throughout the body. Regular Yin practice improves flexibility, circulation, balancing internal energy / pathways known as chi/meridians, creating a positive shift in your mental well being. Practitioners often report long lasting feelings of balance, calmness and better sleep after a Yin session.
Beginner friendly and approachable by most body types.
Please bring a mat, water bottle and small blanket to class.
Because of the long periods of stillness practiced, layers are recommended for comfort. Thick socks, cardigans, comfortable longsleeve layer.

Chair Yoga is simply yoga with a chair!
We will use the chair as a prop to aid with balance if we stand behind it and it’s a sturdy safe place as we practice different poses from a seated position.
Anyone can practice Chair Yoga. It is especially suited for seniors and people with disabilities or other conditions where mat/ floor practice is not ideal. Modifications and variations will be offered throughout the class.
Excellent way to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and coordination other benefits to yoga include stress, relief, and mood improvement.
$5 is suggested donation. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes early to sign in and secure your spot. Chair Yoga class is open to the public membership is encouraged. Please contact Amery Community Center with questions.

All level flow practice. Class includes time for grounding/meditation, yoga flows (movement with attention to breath) at a varied pace.
Attention to alignment and mind body connection. Standing poses, balance challenges, some power (strength/endurance) segments with flexibility and final relaxation segments. This class is 45-50 min in length.

Halloween Yoga at Amery Ale Works !!🎃
On the eve of All Hallows, gather in the shadows… if you dare. 👻
Join us Thursday, October 30th for
a one-hour Halloween yoga practice woven with eerie energy, ghostly stretches, and a haunting playlist to guide you through the night. This is a beginner friendly, lighthearted class, appropriate for all levels looking to flow in the spooky season.
Costumes are encouraged—defined simply as something you’d never wear to a regular yoga class! 🧙
Those who arrive dressed to impress will be rewarded with a sweet Halloween treat!
Bring your mat, water, and any props you prefer. I will have extra mats/blocks. . Option to bring a cozy blanket wrap yourself in (or to hide under) for final rest/savasana.

Yoga Strong – Single Class
Ignite your strength with this 45-minute power yoga class designed to challenge your body and focus your mind. Expect energizing flows, strength-based poses, and breath-driven movement that will leave you feeling strong, steady, and refreshed.
All levels welcome — modifications and progressions are offered.
Fee: $12/class * you may use package credits.

Yoga Strong – 4 Week Series
This October, commit to four weeks (Tuesday Nights) of power yoga designed to challenge your body and focus your mind. Each 45-minute class blends dynamic flow with strength-based poses to help you build stamina, confidence, and resilience.
While the weekly classes stand strong on their own, your real transformation comes from pairing them with the Yoga Strong At-Home Challenge. You are warmly invited to join us for a morning of gentle yin yoga and Reiki energy healing — a beautiful way to reflect on the past year and welcome a new season in together. Held in the cozy, private upstairs loft at Amery Ale Works, this nurturing class invites you to slow down, open your heart, and soak in the abundance and joy of the season. Together, Andrea and Jamie create a truly unique space — warm, restorative, and deeply connective — where movement, breath, and energy flow in harmony. The positive energy shift flows with us for days to come.
