Sunday Yoga - Chakra Yin Series
SUN APR 12, 5 - 6 PM CDT (SUN APR 12, 5 - 6 PM CDT)

Yin yoga is a slow paced practice featuring a series of long pose holds (typically 3 - 7 minutes). Yin yoga is designed to slowly release tension from our connective tissue, such as joints and fascia. Long pose holds are required to achieve this release.

Due to this technique, Yin Yoga is quite meditative. Traditionally practiced in a softly lit, calm space, practitioners are challenged to quiet their minds and look inward. Yin yoga improves energy flow (chi) throughout the body. Regular Yin practice improves flexibility, circulation, balancing internal energy / pathways known as chi/meridians, creating a positive shift in your mental well being. Practitioners often report long lasting feelings of balance, calmness and better sleep after a Yin session.

Beginner friendly and approachable by most body types.

  • This special Series will feature a different Chakra each week. Chakras are energy centers within the body. We will practice with poses intended to stimulate or balance each featured Chakra. The first six weeks will take place as a regular class at Pams Dance company in Amery.

  • Our series will conclude with a special soundbath session featuring crown chakra with special guest facilitator Jill Carlson on Sun . April 26 - watch for Registration details.

Please bring a mat, water bottle and small blanket to class. You are welcome to bring your bolster - but it is not required.

Because of the long periods of stillness practiced, layers are recommended for comfort. Thick socks, cardigans, comfortable longsleeve layer.

Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this practice.
