The Wintering Practice Challenge - Jan 2026

THE WINTERING PRACTICE CHALLENGE

A gentle 4-week winter support experience

$5 | At-home guidance + in-studio class enhancement

Wintering Practice is a simple, supportive 4-week experience designed to help you move, rest, and reflect in ways that support your body and nervous system during the deepest part of winter. With deep influence from Ayurveda and TCM (ancient teachings) intended to introduce practices slowly with options that align with your winter needs.

This is not a fitness challenge.

There’s no pressure to do everything perfectly. Instead, Wintering Practice offers gentle structure, seasonal guidance, and weekly inspiration to help you create a winter rhythm that feels warming, grounding, and sustainable.

WHAT YOUR $5 INCLUDES

Your $5 registration provides at-home support to guide your winter practice, including:

• A clear weekly practice framework with gentle guidance and suggestions.

• Weekly wintering tips and reflections

• Optional participation via email or our Facebook group, the Wintering Community

• Simple, seasonal ideas you can try on your own time

This at-home support is designed to enhance your in-studio yoga practice, helping the themes of winter care land more deeply in the body and nervous system.

WHO THIS IS FOR:

You do not need an established yoga practice to join.

Wintering Practice Challenge is open to:

• Those curious about yoga and looking for a gentle entry point

• Those returning to movement after time away

• Regular yoga practitioners seeking a softer, more seasonal winter rhythm

All practices are adaptable, and you’re encouraged to meet yourself exactly where you are. Feel free to contact me so we can create a weekly practice that is comfortable for you.

HOW THE WINTERING PRACTICE CHALLENGE WORKS:

Each week, you’re invited to explore four simple elements.

You may substitute as needed — this is about intention, not perfection.

THE ELEMENTS:

1. One warming, heat-building practice each week

A short, more energizing movement practice to ignite warmth and release stagnant winter energy.

Suggested in-studio option:

• YogaSol Yoga Sculpt — Tuesdays, 5:15–5:45 PM

*You may also choose another short, higher-energy class such as yoga sculpt, power yoga, barre, Pilates, or a similar fitness class.

In-person classes are encouraged when possible.

Online or at-home options are welcome if in-studio practice isn’t feasible. Local and online suggestions will be shared.

2. One longer yin-based or restorative practice each week

A slower, introspective practice to support deep winter release.

Highly recommended options include:

• Yoga Restore * New Class Tuesday Nights at Pam's Dance Studio (starting 1/6/26) 6:00pm-7:00pm

• Deep Winter Release - At WHAT art school Mondays (starting 1/12/26). 6:30-7:30pm

• Morning Yoga at Stone & Oak - Friday Mornings (starting 1/9/26). 8:00-8:40am.

• Other Yin, restorative, or gentle yoga (in person or at home) -

This practice serves as your weekly grounding point.

3. Daily meditation (starting small)

Week 1: 1 minute per day

Week 2: 2 minutes per day

Week 3: 3 minutes per day

Week 4: 4 minutes per day

Simple guidance and meditation suggestions will be provided throughout the month.

4. Weekly wintering tip or ritual

Each week you’ll receive a seasonal wintering principle focused on rest, warmth, simplicity, and nervous-system care.

Participation is optional and available via:

• Email

• Our Facebook group, the Wintering Community

A FINAL NOTE

This is a practice, not a performance.

There’s no pressure and nothing to fall behind on. This practice is created to adjust to your needs this winter

You’re simply invited to return — again and again — to winter care, steadiness, and warmth.

Registration Closes at midnight 1/2/26.
